Here at theMIX agency we’re preparing for f8 – the worldwide Facebook developer conference on Thursday, September 22 in San Francisco. Topics discussed will including: marketing, mobile, social gaming, design, HTML 5, and much more. The event will close with a performance by up-and-coming band Crystal Castles, proving those of us in the industry enjoy relaxing as much as we do working.
Speaking of having a good time, we were proud to take part in the Microstrategy MICROmixer on September 13th. Head over to Ken Yeung’s Flickr to see all the fun.
Our new Senior Digital Strategist, Alana Joy, was making an impact at TechCrunch’s Disrupt conference in San Francisco from September 12th – 14th, and while technology has changed, the old phase “A picture’s worth a thousand words” still rings true as Alana’s update from the show spread like wildfire across the web.
Believe it or not, September is almost over, and we’re looking ahead toward October for Social Week and Pivot Conference. A proud media and event sponsor for Social Week, theMIX agency will also host the think.out.loud dinner on October 18th, an invite-only meeting where a roundtable discussion will focus on the future of social media marketing, technology, and advertising. If you’ll be in New York for the important conference, look for more details of our influence and impact in the coming weeks.
Finally, we wouldn’t be on the forefront of trends if we weren’t up on all things viral, which is why we’ll also be attending the special one-day-only ROFLcon event in Portland, Oregon featuring members from 4Chan, BoingBoing, Encylopediadramatic, The Daily What, and The Cheezburger Network.
